New York...

My recent trip to New York was incredible. There was a great deal to explore in a city that holds so many surprises. Here are some snaps.

Location Location…

I recently spent this summer working as unit runner on a feature film being made at Pinewood and Shepperton Studios. I have managed to work on various films in Oxford and London doing runner and marshal work over the past two years. These include The Golden Compass, Brideshead Revisted, The Young Victoria, The Special Relationship, Gulliver’s Travels and Robin Hood. Also check out my resume on IMDb.

'Monty Python - Almost the Truth'

'Monty Python - Almost the Truth - The BBC Lawyers Cut' airs on BBC2 tonight. Originally a 6 episode series, this version has been shortened as a one off special to commemorate 40 years of Monty Python. This film takes us on a journey telling the story of the Pythons from start to finish.
Produced by Bill & Ben productions I was asked to create some short animations that introduce some of the interviews featured in the documentary. Previews coming soon...

Empire Magazine...

‘Who Killed Nancy?’ was reviewed in the February issue of Empire magazine. It was a nice surprise to see my drawing used to promote the film and to see it nestled in a better known magazine. More info on the film at the official site

'Who Killed Nancy?'...

Here are some stills from some animation work I did for ‘Who Killed Nancy?’ - a documentary film directed by Alan G Parker.
On October 12th 1978 Nancy Spungen, an ex-prostitute, sometimes stripper and heroin addict, was found dead in a bathroom at the Chelsea Hotel in New York. She also happened to be the girlfriend of the Sex Pistols' bassist Sid Vicious, who was quickly accused of her murder.
The documentary uncovers the true story of the legendary punk couple. This film got its DVD release last month after a short lived life in the cinema.

Revisiting Victoria…

Back in 2007 I was lucky enough to work as a runner on set of ‘The Young Victoria’ which enjoys its cinematic release this month. The film itself is as splendid as it was to work on. Hurrah!

blog blog blog blog...

I thought it was about time I jumped on the cyber Blog band wagon. Well everybody's doing it, right?
Plus it would be nice to document my antics somewhere – both professional and personal.

My official site is currently getting a spring cleaning. So this Blog will serve as more of an informal space for me to upload new work, animation tests, news and things.
It will hopefully also be a reminder for me to get off my ass and do some work.

Kicking things off here’s some highlights from last year which include receiving a certificate of recognition at Short Cuts film Festival in Aylesbury.

Also brushed shoulders with legendary animator Richard Williams at ‘Brief Encounters Short Film Festival’ in Bristol.
